Despite its size, weight isn’t a problem with the easy-handling Aegis. Each model is constructed over a stout yet lightweight thermo-formed sled. Additional weight savings on larger Aegis models comes courtesy of an all-new alloy frame that is 30% stronger, yet 30% lighter than traditional aluminum frames. Finally, weight-conscious anglers can also choose 300 Denier tent construction. The non-insulated model 2000 Aegis with 300 D construction and padded trunks weighs in at an incredibly feathery 53 pounds – quite an accomplishment for a full-featured two-person shelter.
