A Little Gun Rap From Dan (Multi-Post) – Part 49 (Four Videos)

A Little Gun Rap From Dan-Multi-Post – Part 49

Something arrived today for a new Shoot ‘N’ Plink™ project. I ordered some Cold Steel 12″ Throwing Knives, and a Kopis Machete. The machete will be used in my conservation job, but the throwing knives will probably be a very short lived project for articles and videos with Shoot ‘N’ Plink™. I don’t plan on turning it into Shoot, Throw ‘N’ Plink™.

However, I would like to get at least 3 more Cold Steel Throwing Knives in the 10″ model. They were out of that model on their Christmas sale.

As for the machete – not throwing, but swinging at a lot of underbrush.

It wouldn’t sound right to say, “Until next time, shoot and throw safe, and have a great day of plinking.”

Soon Shoot ‘N’ Plink™ will be adding something different – knife throwing. I ordered some throwing knives through Cold Steel‘s Special Projects page. I also ordered Kopis machete, which should work great next season in my conservation job. Unfortunately they didn’t have the smaller 10″ throwing knives in stock, so I opted for the 12″. I’m also considering getting Jack Dagger and True Flight throwing knives. https://ltspecpro.com/cold-steel-produ…/throwing-knives.html

Something that is much different in knife throwing is the distances. In airgun shooting it is normally 5, 7 and 10 yards, powder 5, 7, 10, 15, 25, 50 and 100 yards, but with knives it is 7, 10, 13 and 16 feet. That means that all of the knife distances are under the lowest in guns. Kind of like throwing darts, and since I’ve always been good with those, this should be interesting.

This is my latest video, which is about how to adjust the sights on a Taurus USA G2C. It also talks about using a miniature B27 target for practicing for CCW qualification. https://youtu.be/1Zhdxwa4O5g

Here is a new product from Maglula. It is for all of those that have box magazines like that from the Ruger 10/22. It is called the 10/22 Lula. A great speed loader and unloader. https://youtu.be/4q5sMmtymw0

This is a video that I just completed on Maglula‘s Uplula for speed loading magazines from 9mm to 45 cal. https://youtu.be/YQz1uTk_4Ik

Here is another Maglula product called a Baby Uplula. This is for loading lower caliber magazines such as the one I did in this video from my Rossi USA 22LR semi-auto rifle.
