After picking up my new sunglasses from Jim Nordquist I gave a lake that Jim and I have fished in the past a bit of a try. Normally the Blitz Lures LLC Blade in the Spotted Goby color is a killer with the water temp hanging around 39°, and I did catch one on that Blade. In fact, it was the only fish that I landed today.
There were other fish hooked on a Natural Forage Baits Lil Killer rigged on a BFishn Tackle H20 Precision Jig Head, but I didn’t get them in. At least two were very nice size, but they were hitting on the end of a long cast, which made a lot of fighting distance.
No photos, other than some swans that came around to investigate, were taken.
I’m thinking about going out again tomorrow, but never can tell. I’m still trying to get back in a routine after being laid off from my conservation job on Saturday.
