RED BULL ARCHER’S PARADOX ARRIVES IN MERRIMAC, WI ON AUGUST 18

This August, Red Bull Archer’s Paradox will host the country’s most accurate and athletic archers for the first time in Wisconsin and the second time ever. Devil’s Head Resort in Merrimac, WI will serve as the backdrop for the competition.

Interested participants can register now at https://www.redbull.com/us-en/events/archers-paradox/. Limited spots are available.

The intense course is set for heats of eight archers, consisting of a one-mile run with eight archery targets that must be hit along the way. If a target is missed, a 200-yard lap will be added to the end of their race.

Only the top 32 times will move onto the championship rounds – the fastest time of the championship round will take home the grand prize of $1,000, a new archery bow and more. Second and third place will not go home empty handed, receiving $700 and $300 cash prizes, respectfully.

Devin O’Brien, Red Bull Archer’s Paradox winner of 2015 recalls, ” The event is challenging physically, and we were faced with unique targets and shots of the sort I had never seen – only Red Bull could dream something like this up!  Winning takes serious physical ability and flawless shooting.  Like biathlon, one of the toughest elements was calming your heart rate as much as possible to make an accurate shot.  I was very proud to win the inaugural event in 2015 because the event challenged every aspect of what it takes to be an athlete and archer.”

Red Bull Archer’s Paradox celebrates the skill and precision of archery alongside the speed and athleticism of an endurance race, a unique combination that’s hard to find, yet thrilling to watch.
