More on AKASO’s Brave 4

I had a chance to open the Akaso Lifestyle Brave 4 that I received yesterday, and absolutely amazed at all the accessories that come with this unit. Not only is the waterproof case and remote control with this, but about every mount that you would desire, plus 2 removable batteries with a double bay charger.

So far I’ve found everything I want with this camera other than the three things that I mentioned yesterday – external microphone jack, zoom and flip out/rotating screen to look forward to help line up shots.

Also, as I said yesterday, this camera has the capabilities of adjusting the lens angle to eliminate the fisheye effect.

From what I’m hearing there are about 3 models for AKASO, and all are performing extremely well. They also can use several of the famous GoPro accessories.

I was exploring prices, and found the Brave 4 kit, as I received for $89.99 on Amazon. That almost sounds too good to be true, and we will be seeing as time progresses and the unit is used for Dan’s Fish ‘N’ Tales® and Shoot ‘N’ Plink™ videos.

This may also turn out to be a great product to use if we get the full blown Fish ‘N’ Tales® back on the air as a 1/2-hour, syndicated program. I’ve already spoken to one of the companies with which I’ve worked in the past to see what they think of using this sort of camera in combination with normal professional production equipment, and they think it will work perfectly since they have already used similar products for some of their other productions.

So, now it is time to start learning how to use this unit, and hopefully will be coming along with some videos using it soon. Of course, my Canon will still be there for part of it, as it has the flip out/swivel screen and external jack for my shotgun microphone.

Stay tuned for further reports and videos.
