FIGHT FOR BRISTOL BAY

FIGHT FOR BRISTOL BAY

Why is Bristol Bay so important? Bristol Bay is one of the finest fishing destinations on Earth. The watershed is home to all five species of Pacific salmon found in North America: sockeye, coho, Chinook, chum, and pink. The sockeye salmon fishery is the largest in the world, with approximately 46% of the wild global population. This is all being threatened by the Pebble gold and copper mine. What can I do? U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has just opened a public comment period on a draft environmental impact statement that would determine the future of Pebble Mine. Tell them you still support protections for Bristol Bay. Take action today.
