ZEISS VICTORY HT 8×42 Binocular Wins Petersen’s Editor’s Choice Award

The new ZEISS VICTORY HT 8×42 binocular has been named Editor’s Choice by Petersen’s Hunting magazine. The VICTORY HT is the brightest super-premium binocular in the world, with near 95% light transmission, and is the first binocular ever built specifically for hunters. Zeiss engineers achieved this unprecedented level of light transmission by using proprietary SCHOTT High Transmission (HT) glass, a super-efficient Abbe-Koenig prism and newly enhanced proprietary ZEISS T* multi-layer coating.

Here is some of what the magazine had to say about the VICTORY HT binocular:

“For hunters, it may also be the most ergonomic as well, featuring a new, slower-focusing mechanism placed further forward to avoid hat brims and fit hands. Editor Mike Schoby used them on a factory tour a few months back and described them as “the sharpest, brightest binoculars I’ve ever used.” Before you upgrade your glass, I’d recommend checking out the Victory HT first. $2,400.”

The rugged VICTORY HT has a wide natural field, with the highest possible center resolution, and is built for maximum durability. Zeiss specifically created the high-grade magnesium Double- Link Bridge to fully protect the focus wheel and facilitate an almost effortless setting of the diopter control for the hunter’s individual vision.

“We are honored that the VICTORY HT binocular has been named Editor’s Choice by Petersen’s Hunting,” said Mike Jensen, President of Carl Zeiss Sports Optics. “The Petersen’s Hunting staff, and its readers, are hard core hunters and that’s exactly who we designed this binocular for – the extreme hunter who needs the highest level of optical performance and durability. We pushed ourselves, not only to exceed the light transmission level to date but in every aspect of the design and development process. The recognition of our efforts is truly appreciated.”
