Would You Hunt Grizzly Bear in the Greater Yellowstone

Would You Hunt Grizzly Bear in the Greater Yellowstone Area if Idaho, Montana, and/or Wyoming Established Regulated Bear Harvests?

Would You Hunt Grizzly Bear in the Greater Yellowstone

Various groups are suing or planning to sue the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service over the delisting of grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE).  SCI has decided to participate in these lawsuits to defend the delisting.  The delisting returns management of the bears to the states, which could lead to the establishment of well-regulated grizzly bear hunts and result in better management of this predator species.

For SCI to participate, they need to confirm that SCI members would participate in any future hunts in the GYE in Idaho, Montana, and/or Wyoming.  If you are an SCI member and would and could definitely participate in any such future grizzly bear hunts, please fill out this questionnaire and return it to Doug Burdin by email or facsimile:  dburdin@safariclub.org or 202-543-1205.  We will then contact you regarding any further steps.  Thank you for your support of SCI.
