The tail spinners were very popular as Mann’s Little George dominated in the sixties and into the  seventies but like many other classic lures their appeal to anglers diminished as new baits flooded the marker as recreational bass fishing gained popularity. The bass, however never gave up on them, and to the anglers that still use them they are still a go to bait for many conditions. Mann’s Bait Company still makes and sells many of their legendary of Little George that is believed to be the largest-selling metal bass lure in history.  Interest in this bait comes and goes every few years as other manufactures produce similar baits.
