Why Three Conservation Organizations Abstained from Signing the letter to Support the Second Amendment

In a letter to Senate Leaders Harry Reid (D-NV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY), 31 of the most influential organizations in the outdoors, hunting and conservation world expressed their opinion to our senate leadership in support of our second amendment rights. The organizations are all members of the American Wildlife Conservation Partnership.  This letter came in response to a couple of articles in the mainstream press and an article in the Washington Times  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/apr/5/miller-democratic-front-group-hyped-hunters-media-/ about a front group that was misleading the public and masquerading as a major conservation organization.

The AWCP letter can be found at the NRA-ILA site in its entirety.
