Whitetails Unlimited Grants $2,500 to S3DA

Whitetails Unlimited Grants $2,500 to S3DAWhitetails Unlimited has granted $2,500 to the Scholastic 3D Archery program national headquarters, which brings the total year-to-date contributed to S3DA $11,000. Started in 2015, S3DA focuses on indoor and outdoor 3-D archery competition. It is an after school program that can be run not only through schools, but archery shops, churches, ASA clubs, fire stations, etc. Students choose their own equipment with no restrictions as to brand or company. S3DA is currently active in 36 states.

This past year, WTU has spent $900,000 on shooting projects and programs related to the WTU Staying on Target program. As a stout advocate for the perpetuation of the shooting sports, Whitetails Unlimited is helping build the next generation of shooters by supporting archery programs such as S3DA. These programs provide an introduction to youth archery and firearm fundamentals to help nurture a lifelong interest in the shooting sports, and ultimately expose the next generation to the sport of regulated hunting.

“S3DA’s growth is nothing short of amazing,” says Whitetails Unlimited Program Service Director Russ Austad. “They are an integral part in keeping our youth exposed to shooting sports and hunting.”
