Remember, this weekend, October 14th, the tagged trout release will take place at Lake of the Hills, located in Scott County, Iowa Conservation‘s West Lake Park near Davenport, IA. There will be a lot of great prizes.
The event is sponsored by Frabill, Plano, Blitz Lures LLC, TTI-Blakemore, Rat-L-Trap, Vexilar Inc, Mercury Marine, Custom Jigs & Spins, BFishn Tackle, Work Sharp, Jiffy Ice Drills, and Henry Repeating Arms.
Several people will be present to talk fishing, outdoor education, and products. A few known at this time are Don Banning (outdoor writer/Jiffy Pro Staffer), Roger Kean (Scott County Conservation Director), Marc Miller (Scott County Conservation Deputy Director), Roger Larson (Park Manage for West Lake and Buffalo Shores), Dave Murcia (Wapsi Center Director), several park rangers, Iowa DNR Fisheries personnel, and myself. I’m sure Jack Cullens of the Quad-City Times will also be around the area. There may be others as well, with possible people from Custom Jigs & Spins, to name one.
Don’t forget your trout stamp, as licenses will be checked and enforced.
