We strive to help you better understand the habits of fish in different conditions and to help you understand what techniques and presentations a person should use to help put fish in the boat. Whether you’re a beginner or expert, we can give you an exciting, educational, and successful day on the water!

Since the inception of Northcountry Guide Service, Matt has branched out into promotions, writing, and conservation. We are a year-round full-service business. We offer everything from a quiet boat ride in the Fall to see the leaves changing on the mighty Mississippi River, to deep-woods bear hunts in Northwest MN. Guided Fishing Trips
We offer guided trips in 4 or 8 hour increments. All travel will be arranged. Gear and bait are provided. Prices are subject to change based on gas and bait prices…

All houses have beds, stoves, heat, rattle wheels, tackle, and lights. All rentals also come w/ a scoop of bait. Houses are moved often to stay on top of active fish!
Call early to reserve spots, as the rentals book up fast!
Be sure to ask where we’ve got houses, as we’re always moving some shacks to local hot-spots from Leech Lake to Red Lake.
