Graduate Record Exam is a standardized admission test for graduate schools. It is used to measure the graduates’ abilities in academic nature. GRE exam is of 2 types

GRE registration
One can register for the exam in 4 ways.
- Online registration: A candidate can register online by logging on the GRE website. You can create a new account by filling the basic information like name, address; education qualification etc. Payment can be made through credit or debit card. After filling in the details you can submit the form and select the date and time that suits you.
- Mail registration: One can take a print out of the form and complete the form by filling the information needed for the exam. Now, send it to the address mentioned on the site. The form must be sent before 3-4 weeks of the exam date and the confirmation about the time, place of test center will be mailed to you.
- Phone registration: A regional registration center of Prometric is in Gurgaon, Haryana. You can call on a number and can register yourself for the exam. It should be made 1 week before the exam date.
- Fax registration: The form should be completed and faxed to the registration office before 7 days of the exam.
