Two New Tents From PahaQue Wilderness

PahaQue Wilderness is introducing three new family camping tents and shelters at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, July 26-29. PahaQue has been a leading force in the design and manufacturing of family camping tents, shelters and hammocks for 20 years.

Two New Tents From PahaQue Wilderness

The new Basecamp 6, a six-person tent featuring PahaQue’s Quick Pitch frame, sets up in less than one minute. With a footprint of 90 square feet, peak height of 6 feet, bathtub-style floor, one large door and three windows, Basecamp 6 provides ease of use, total weather protection and extra roominess. Ground stakes, guylines and carry bag are included. Color: grey with yellow trim. MSRP $179.

Rendezvous is a new four-person dome tent that comfortably sleeps four people with extra room for gear. Floor size is 9’x7’ with a peak height of five feet. Shock-corded fiberglass poles make set-up easy and quick. The partial-mesh roof allows air to circulate and reduces condensation. Rainfly, carry bag, ground stakes and guylines are included. Color: grey with black trim. MSRP $89.

One quick pull of the top hub and the new Surfline Beach Cabana instantly pops into shape. Features include the Quick Pitch frame system, fiberglass poles that stay connected to the cabana, two windows for added ventilation and a sun protection factor (SPF) of 50. Floor size is 4’x7.25’ with a peak height of four feet. Carry bag, ground stakes and sand anchor pockets are included. MSRP $69.

“Many of the camping tent and shelter design features that we have pioneered have become standard on family camping tents,” Jeff Basford, President of PahaQue Wilderness, said. “PahaQue remains committed to developing tent and shelter designs that set the bar for quality and performance. Our new Basecamp 6, Rendezvous and Surfline Beach Cabana fill those needs.”

PahaQue is introducing a new pricing structure, Basford said. “Consumers will continue to get the same quality tents and shelters they count on from PahaQue, now at a lower price point.”

Products and designs pioneered by PahaQue include: Green Mountain, Promontory and Pamo Valley family tents; Cottonwood shade shelters and ScreenRooms; single- and double-wide hammocks; and the Tepee Shower and Outhouse tent.

And the answer to the PahaQue question Basford is frequently asked: PahaQue is pronounced pah-HAH-kay. “PahaQue is a common greeting from the old Southwest, which we take to mean ‘Happy Trails,’” Basford said.
