Toyota AOYFeatured In Live Hunt

b.a.s.s. logoBassmaster Elite Series pro and 2012 Toyota Angler of the Year Brent Chapman once said, “I fish to pay for my hunting habit.” It seems only fitting that during the hiatus between the 2013 Elite Series tournament season and the 2014 Bassmaster Classic, fans will have an opportunity to see the bass pro perform on land rather than on water.

Chapman will be featured on The Outdoor Channel in a live hunt via a Web stream on Thursday, Nov. 21, giving hunting and fishing fans the opportunity to spend a day afield from the comfort of their desktop.

The live hunt with the Lake Quivira, Kansas, pro will begin at about 7 a.m. ET and run until about 10 a.m. ET. It will take place in eastern Kansas, a renowned trophy area, where the 13-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier has consistently found Pope and Young deer on his property. Bassmaster.com’s Steve Bowman and Bassmaster Elite Series photographer James Overstreet will join Chapman in his ground blind to host the hunt.

Chapman, an avid and accomplished bowhunter, approaches bowhunting like he does tournament fishing: “Tournament fishing and bowhunting just go together. The little subtleties that set a professional fisherman apart from a weekend angler are the same thing that sets apart a successful bowhunter from one who is just spending time in the stand.”
