tough today

Fishing was tough today, and colder than what was forecast. The water was murky and turning over, with a temp in the mid to upper 30’s. My first fish was a 21″ bass on a Natural Forage Baits green shad Swim Bait, rigged on a BFishn Tackle H20 Precision jig head. I was able to catch 2 more fish on the NFB Swim Bait, and another on a Rat-L-Trap. I used a slow lift and fall technique with the Swim Bait. All strikes came as the lure was falling. Tomorrow Brandon Rogalla and I may be trying it, so there will hopefully be another report. Until next time, get out on the water and have a great day of fishing.

My shipment of Plano Rustrictor Stowaway boxes arrived. There are several models, but the one I was most anxious to receive was the Terminal Tackle Box, in which I will be storing all of my worm weights and Daiichi World’s Sharpest Hooks, Tru-Turn Hooks and XPoint Hooks. This should be great for keeping the rust and corrosion off of any crankbaits and hooks. The smaller models will work great for ice fishing tackle. Until next time, get out on the water, and have a great day of fishing. #planorustrictorstowawayboxes

This Ryobi T1 reel will be on its way to be displayed at the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, WI. It is part of what was found when sorting out my old tackle. I was one of the original field testers of this model, before there were boxes designed, when I was a member of Team Ryobi. This was also about the time when I first picked up the Tru-Turn Hooks 5-Star Pro Staff, Skyline Pro Staff, Norman Lures Pro Staff, and Bill Lewis Lures/Rat-L-Trap Pro Staff. #ryobit1reelgoingtofreshwaterfishinghalloffame
