The IRL Paddle Adventure 2014

IRL Paddle AdventureJoin us for a day, a week or the entire Indian River Lagoon (IRL) Paddle Adventure.  This year’s 2014 IRL Paddle Adventure kicks off at sunset on November 29th at the Marine Discovery Center (MDC) in New Smyrna Beach! We’ll have a kickoff party and camp at the MDC, and we’ll depart the next morning, letting the incoming tide take us south on our first day of paddling.

Following in the footsteps of 2013’s inaugural IRL Paddle Adventure, this year’s trip will focus on IRL stewardship and education. Thank you to all our sponsors for your help, and a huge thank you to all who have donated to our cause.

The Indian River Lagoon system needs your help! We’re still trying to reach our $100,000 goal for our Educational Trust.

The Paddle will traverse the entire length of the Indian River Lagoon system over a three week stretch. The trip includes the Mosquito, Banana River, and Indian River Lagoons. Anyone wishing to join in the fun is welcome! Canoes, kayaks or SUP paddlers can jump in anywhere along our route.

All you need to do to support the IRL Paddle Adventure is create a FirstGiving fundraising page (it’s easy; we’ll walk you through it if necessary). Then you, your family and friends can all pledge any amount you’d like to make a donation to the Indian River Lagoon Education Fund. Paddlers are responsible for their own gear and vessels.
