The 8th Annual Ryan Newman Foundation Charity Fishing Tournament

Ryan Newman Foundation logo 2This great annual event will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Pinnacle Boat Ramp on Highway 150 in Mooresville, N.C. The starting time is 7:30 a.m. and the weigh-in is 3:30 p.m.  The McCrary Creek access area next to Queens Landing will also be available for boat launching. This year, teams will compete for the grand prize – a fully equipped Bass Pro 2013 Nitro Z9 bass boat, motor, electronics and trailer. Other prizes include cash awards, fishing equipment and more.

Last year, Travis Rulle from Huntersville, N.C. and his father Don Rulle from Longmont, CO., bested 147 teams to take home the grand prize, a 2012 Nitro Z9 bass boat and other prizes. They weighed in five fish for a total weight of 16 pounds and 4 ounces.

The entry fee for a two-man team is $200.00. There is an additional optional $50.00 charge to enter the big fish contest. The tournament is limited to 175 boats. Participants must be registered and entry fee must be received in order to secure a spot in the tournament. On-line registration will close at noon on Friday, December 6th.

Got to www.ryannewmanfoundation.org to register online.  If spots are available anglers may register at the Bass Pro Store in Concord from 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 12th.

No registrations will be accepted Saturday, the morning of the event.
