Moon Shine, LP, designer of Moon Shine Attitude Attire, partnered with Swaziland Relief to donate clothing to the needy people of Africa. Moon Shine donated one thousand quarter zips and one thousand beanies along with a few other items. These items were transported by sea to Africa and then trucked to remote villages and distributed in July by the participants from the Swaziland Relief.
“It was great to be able to help out this way and provide some warm clothing to those who need it,” states Moon Shine, LP general manager John Hummel. “Seeing the pictures of men, women, and children wearing our products with such joy on their faces was truly amazing.”
Khara Woehr, an organizer in this event, comments, “The warm fleece jackets and beanies go a long way to protect the many Swazi orphans that struggle to keep warm in the Swaziland winters. Temperatures can get down into the 30 degree range and many Swazis don’t have any heat to help them through the cold nights. Imagine sleeping outside on damp mud without warm clothes – now imagine a brand new fleece jacket being placed into your hands. What a gift! Swaziland Relief is grateful for the generous donation from Moon Shine Attitude Attire and look forward to working with them in the future.”
Moon Shine contacted the Swaziland relief back in March to donate the product. In July the product was distributed. We encourage anyone with the means to help out this great cause.
