“We escaped it,” Sundin said with a grin. “All the Deer River and Grand Rapids areas saw was a dusting ahead of the big storm, so there are no issues with heavy snowfall on developing icepacks.”In fact, ice is just starting to form around the edges of smaller lakes.

“We’re looking at 99 percent open water right now,” he said. “But with temperatures going into the deep freeze later this week, we’ll see this change in a hurry.”Continue reading this article at this LINK…..
