Stripping Line Tips

Ace Carp FishingThe ACE D-Spool Line Stripper is designed to attached to a cordless drill so you can strip old fishing line from your reels in seconds. If used correctly you can also use it to turn the line around on your reel, especially handy if you are using the Velocity tapered leader line as there are leaders at either end. The internal spring-loaded clutch system will automatically slip should the line become stuck, helping to eliminate line breakages. The spool cap allows line to be removed quickly and simply. It’s the quickest, simplest and most efficient line disposal system ever created, here’s how it works;

Pic 2 – Follow the direction of the arrow on the cap and remove the top of the D-Spool. Anti clockwise to unlock

Pic 3 – Carefully trap the line between the cap and the spool and re-fit the cap. Again follow the arrow, clockwise to lock

Pic 4 – Fit the hexagonal shaft into the chuck on a cordless drill, ensuring the drill it is set to a low speed.

Pic 5 – Using your hand, carefully guide the line, start stripping the line off your spool

Pic 6 – Once you’ve emptied the line off your spool, simply unlock and remove the D-Spool cap and slide the line off

Pic 7 – Before discarding, take a pair of scissors and cut the old line into smaller sections
