If you are looking for sonar but you need to stay on a budget, this is definitely worth your time. You see all of your structures but the detail is lacking, such as picking finding bait fish. If you know how to read signs in the environment, such as, the wind, sun, temperature, etc., you will be able to find those fish. It’s sonar not a fish finder, just be wary of that before you purchase it expecting more than what it actually is.

I bought this unit instead of other expensive units and I’m completely satisfied. So much cheaper and the same performance. Flexibility is great, all my friends have smartphones and love going out on my boat because we all get our own sonar to look at.
The one and only down fall is that it doesn’t have side scan, but it’s also a fraction of the price, unless you need side scan there is no reason to purchase an expensive unit if you already own a smart phone.
I love that integrates with my Navionics app which let’s face it is the best way to store fishing locations so you always have them, even if you’re on a friends boat.
Use for ice fishing all the time and couldn’t be happier. Great view of the bottom and plenty of detail for fishing with light panfish tackle.
This one purchase gave me three depth finders between old iPhones and tablets. I have my old iPhone on my wrist so I can see the depth or lake map from anywhere in the boat.
Setup is simple, the product just works and it uses very little electricity so I don’t need to worry about draining my main battery down.
I would recommend and have recommended this to many of my friends. Anybody that fishes with me says they want to go purchase one.
I have the T-Box Portable. It spent the last summer on my boat, and I took it out on friends boats even when they had other expensive sonar units and we preffered this. It spent the winter in my bucket, I hit the power button drop the transducer in the hole and catch fish.
I’ve used it with iphones, Ipads and android phones. No problems. If you fish you will like this!

I was hoping this unit would work for my needs when fishing from my kayak and so far so good. Fished a new lake this past weekend and was able to determine weed lines and general structure with this unit. Marked fish where I was expecting and only caught fish in the areas that I had marked. Seems to be accurate. It is annoying having to create a master everytime you log in, but it is quick and easy, so not a big deal.
