It is that time of the year when people are going over their gift list, with many being stumped on what to give the outdoorsmen on that list. As I did last year, I’ve put together a few ideas for fishermen and shooters.
Since ice fishing is the closest season let’s start out with some of those items.
At the top of many ice anglers’ lists is a Vexilar flasher unit. The FLX28 has been the Cadillac of this gift, but now Vexilar has expanded the line of FLX units to a 12 and 20. A power drill is always a welcome item, but be sure to find out what size of hole the person wants to drill. My preference is an 8-inch drill, as it can cover many situations, but I also carry a 6-inch electric for quick movement, searching, re-drilling old holes, and to use for transducer holes next to the 8-inchers.
