Pulsar Launches Thermal Imaging Monocular Line

Prepare to see the unseen with Pulsar’s Quantum Thermal Imaging Monoculars. Designed for optimal heat detection and observation in both day and nighttime operations, the Quantum LS19 and HS19 thermal monoculars are equipped for a wide range of applications including: hunting, surveillance, law enforcement and military use, search and rescue, and reconnaissance. Featuring cutting-edge technology, the LS19 and HS19 units detect heat signatures beyond what night vision can see, successfully penetrating through fog and smoke.

“We are very excited for the launch of our Quantum thermal units. This is just one more step in broadening our product line,” said Product Development Manager Jonathan Horton. “Our goal is to offer quality optics solutions whatever the application.”

Equipped with advanced OLED display (640×480) and a high resolution microbolometer sensor (160×120), the Quantum LS19 and HD19 allow users to quickly locate their target with minimal distortion and crisp contrast. Both units are engineered with germanium glass, allowing for maximum thermal sensory sensitivity. The Quantum LS19 and HD19 have the ability to switch between “white hot” and “black hot,” making targets distinctly visible up to nearly 500 yards away.

At nine frames per second, the LS19 is ideal for surveillance, general observation and occasional hunting, while the HS19 at 30 frames per second offers a smoother, more consistent image for fasting-moving objects. Both the monoculars have a built-in 2.5 magnification power, providing crisp, clear enlarged images at long distances.

Consisting of glass-nylon composite and weighing just over one pound, the Quantum LS19 and HD19 are extremely lightweight and can withstand the harsh environments of the outdoors. The linear design of the body housing features staggered control buttons, making them easily accessible to both right- and left-handed users and effortless to locate in pitch black darkness. Both units feature a 10-second start up function to begin viewing quickly. Equipped with a standard Weaver rail and tripod mount, users can attach external power supplies or recording devices.

Included with the Quantum thermal monoculars are: a carrying case, an output video cable, a hand strap, car adapter, extra battery container and a lens cleaning cloth.
