Photographer catches bobcat fishing for shark 2News FCN Reported 1st: A picture’s worth a thousand words, the old adage goes, and this picture doesn’t disappoint: A Florida photographer captures the food chain in action. Photographer John Bailey was taking an evening stroll through Sebastian Inlet State Park in Vero Beach Monday when he spotted a bobcat on the beach, staring into the water. It was apparently watching a shark in the shallows feeding on smaller fish.

The cat continued watching nature at work when all of a sudden it leapt into the water onto the shark, estimated to be about four feet in length, and dragged its catch onto the beach.

The photo he took appears to show the determined cat hauling its prey by the tail into the sand.

Bailey says he might have gotten too close while taking the picture because the cat abruptly dropped its snack and took off into the nearby forest.
