Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s Bird Dogs for Habitat

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s Bird Dogs for HabitatWhat’s your favorite bird dog breed? Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s “Bird Dogs for Habitat” campaign challenges upland hunters to cast a vote and make a tax-deductible donation on behalf of their favorite sporting dog breed. All contributions support the organization’s wildlife habitat conservation mission – and the places where bird dogs love to hunt.

Through online payments, Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever will accept contributions placed in support of 48 different breeds of bird dogs. Each $1 donated is equal to one vote for that bird dog breed. In other words, a $100 donation is equal to 100 votes for a particular breed of sporting dog. Thanks to the generous support of our 2016 campaign sponsors – SportDOG Brand, Irish Setter, Mendota Products, YETI and MidWest Outdoors – every donation made throughout the month of April will be quadrupled through a 4:1 matching gift.

“Wildlife habitat conservation and upland hunting share a common thread – love for our four-legged canine companions in the field,” explained Bob St. Pierre, Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s vice president of marketing, an avid upland hunter and proud owner of two German shorthaired pointers. “Bird Dogs for Habitat supports the wild places that we dream of venturing to with our bird dogs each fall, and it is also a fun way to support the nation’s most effective and efficient upland conservation organization.”

Top-dog honors for the past three campaigns belong to the Vizsla (twice) and the Irish setter (once) breeds. As an added incentive for the 2016 fundraiser, contributions of more than $500 will also be considered Pheasant Forever & Quail Forever Dog Life Memberships, which include a SportDOG Brand SportHunter 1225 as a special gift.
