Since I know so many of the ODU members personally I’m going to get this started while the other members of the Sr. Staff will chime in. I have always been one to beg forgiveness than to ask permission so here goes.
Leone Russo, the guy that calls me Cuz all the time, is one of the greatest progenitors of the Crossbow in the world. His fine publication Crossbow Connection Magazine spans the world with Big Game Hunting with the crossbow.
A few years ago I led the fight to legalize crossbow hunting in the state of Louisiana. If it had not been for Leone Russo and Dan Hendricks (Horizontal Bowhunter Magazine) We would have never done gotten the word out. They both published everything I wrote about the crossbow. In 2009 La Gov Bobby Jindal singed our bill into law and all bow hunters of any age can hunt with the crossbow in our state.
This started a trend as other states took up the cause and thanks to Leone’s fine magazine everyone got the truth on what the crossbow was all about. Leone Russo is truly an American Sportsman that believes in Outdoors Unlimited. Pass it on.
