Alabama: Critical Pro-Gun Bill Scheduled for Hearing
Tomorrow, March 15, Senate Bill 304 is scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee.  As previously reported, this critical bill seeks to solve the significant disparity in concealed weapon permit fees between counties.  SB 304 will accomplish this fix by allowing law-abiding individuals to apply for a permit in any county in the state.  Please contact members of the Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs and respectfully urge them to support SB 304.

Idaho: Permitless Carry Legislation Passes Committee, Your Urgent Action Needed!
Today, March 14, Senate Bill 1389, NRA-endorsed permitless carry legislation, passed the Senate State Affairs Committee.  SB 1389 will likely head to the Senate floor for a vote this Wednesday, March 16.  Time is crucial.  Please contact your state Senator TODAY and politely urge him or her to SUPPORT SB 1389.

Maine: Gun rights bill for public housing tenants gets through committee
The Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee of the Maine Legislature voted 7-6 to recommend passage of LD 1572, which was introduced in response to a case involving 67-year-old tenant Harvey Lembo of Rockland. Lembo, who uses a wheelchair to get around, shot and wounded an alleged intruder he said was trying to steal his prescription medications inside his residence on Aug. 31, 2015, at the Park Place Apartments.

Idaho: Constitutional carry bill catches momentum in Legislature
Under the proposed legislation in the Senate, carry laws would largely homogenize across the state, allowing those over 21 who are legally able to possess a firearm to carry a concealed handgun statewide without first obtaining a permit, while those between 18 and 20 could still carry them outside of city limits and apply for a permit for carry in those urban areas.
