Lake Guntersville Report

FLGGSThis past week on Guntersville was extremely productive; in fact it has been one of the best weeks in the last 45 days and I have had some great weeks to compare to! The bass are stacking up on the traditional seasonal spots and catching them was easy. In the heat of June, having the fishing being easy is generally not the case; I truly believe that the lack of grass especially on the river channel has kept the bass a little shallower than past years.

We had productivity out of several baits this past week, with the Spro DD Little John crank bait and Tight-Line football head jig being the best. We also found that the soft plastic bite also being really good especially as the sun moved over head.

I have had some very satisfied customers lately as the fishing continued strong week after week; if you’re looking for good time on Guntersville I do have days available to fish with you. July is basically pretty wide open, and 4 to 6 hours on the water is very bearable from the heat!
