Hunting License?

Are you going to buy, or have you purchased your hunting license this year? If you plan to hunt, you’d better. How about a new rifle, bow, or shotgun, and the ammunition? The license fees and the excise taxes mount up fast. It’s considerable. The money really buys more than hunting privileges and gear though. Did you know where your money goes?

Well…

  • It helps restore habitat and improves wildlife populations.
  • It helps operate over one million acres of wildlife  management areas that benefit a wide assortment of wildlife, including both species not hunted and provides wildlife related recreation.
  • It provides information and aid to landowners on how to manage their property for various species.
  • This has been going on over 60 years and is the most successful conservation program in the world by far.

If you’re a non-hunter, think of how much you’ve contributed over the years. When you find out that it’s not much and you see a majestic Whitetail deer in a field at twilight, thank the next hunter you see.

Have a great season.
