Hot For Bass

Hot For BassIt is getting close to the time of year when Natural Forage Baits Swim Bait and Blitz Lures LLC Blade Bait is going to start getting “hot” for bass. They are normally good, but, as I said, they are going to start being my main lure for producing the best catch.

I will select three colors for each, which are my primary colors year around. For the Swim Bait I use Green Shad (everyone who follows Dan’s Fish ‘N’ Tales knows that one), Brown Shad and Smokin’ Shad. On the Blade side, again, everyone knows about the Spotted Goby, and the other two colors are Perch and Gizzard Shad, all in the 1/2 ounce size. At this point I’m using a Spotted Goby with a broken hook, and am out of the other two colors.

Heads used for the NFB Swim Bait are the BFishn Tackle Precision H20 and TTI-Blakemore Casey’s Runner. It would be nice if the Precision H20 had the same size hook as the Casey’s Runner.

Until next time, get out on the water, and enjoy a great day of fishing.
