Hall of Fame Trapshooter Harlan Campbell, Jr. Wins ‘Championship Double’ at 2012 Grand American

Remington Arms Company, LLC, (“Remington”) would like to congratulate long-time Pro- Staff shooter and friend, Harlan Campbell, Jr. on an achievement that hasn’t happened since 1936 – winning a singles and doubles championship at the Grand American Trapshooting Championship.

The ‘Championship Double’ has only occurred four times since the first one was awarded in 1914 and Harlan Campbell, Jr. is the only person to win the award the same year as inducted into the Trapshooting Hall of Fame.

“Harlan is simply amazing with a shotgun,” said Phil Murdock – Vice President of Marketing for Remington.  “He is a great friend of Remington and we are honored to support such a one-of-a-kind athlete and a true ambassador of the shooting sports.”

Campbell uses Remington Premier® STS® Light Target loads for Singles and Doubles events and Remington Premier® Nitro 27® Handicap trap loads for Handicap events.

The Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) 113th Grand American Trapshooting Championship was held at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex (WSRC) in Sparta, Illinois on August 8-18, 2012.  Campbell was honored at the Trapshooting Hall of Fame Induction Banquet held on August 14, 2012 during the event.
