Pepper and I went to the Shoot ‘N’ Plink™ firing range first to try out the new Ruger LCR22 (video link is on Shoot ‘N’ Plink FB page), and then headed for a short fishing trip with a companion pelican.
The fishing was tough, even for the pelican.
I managed to catch around 7 bass on a variety of lures – Blitz Lures LLC Spotted Goby Blade; Natural Forage Baits R4 worm and green shad Swim Bait both with BFishn Tackle H20 head; apricot Rat-L-Trap; and the old finger jigging standby – 2″ Emerald Shiner Power Minnow on a B-Fish-N H20 jig head, which caught the largest bass.
A lot of the fish were very close to the shore, while others were near deep wood cover.
