Fishing A Success, Even With The Bite Slowing Down

Fishing A Success, Even With The Bite Slowing DownI was out fishing again today, and this time a different Natural Forage Baits product reined king. It was a Drop Shad in Baby Bass color, rigged on a BFishn Tackle H20 Precision jig head, and used with my “finger jigging” technique.

It started out with the green shad NFB Swim Bait rigged on a Blitz Lures LLC Swimbait head taking three fish, all over 15 inches, quickly. However, it slowed, except for one 14 pound catfish on a Rat-L-Trap.

The catfish put the Frabill Trophy Haul net to the test. That is two big fish in the net – 43 pound grass carp and now this catfish.

Once again the fish were found on the warmest and windiest areas. I was also bumping the tops of weeds, and any rock area that could be found.

Until next time, get out on the water, and enjoy a great day of fishing.
