EOTech HHS II Selected Best of the Best

EOTech’s Holographic Hybrid Sight (HHS) has been awarded Field & Stream’s highest honor, Best of the Best in 2012. The HHS II was reviewed by a panel of experts and put through the extensive “Field & Stream Torture Tests”.

“Our staff spent the better part of the past year finding and testing the gear that will make readers’ time in the woods more productive and more fun,” says Slaton White, Deputy Editor of Field & Stream. “The winning products not only withstood our tough testing, but they stood head and shoulders above the rest displaying absolute excellence in their field. The Best of the Best is the highest honor Field & Stream bestows on gear and the winning products are the best of the year; worth your time, worth your money.”

This EOTech HHS kit combines the speed of the EXPS holographic weapon sight and the extended range versatility of the G33.STS magnifier. Offering true 2-eyes open shooting the HHS is ideal for fast action and long range shooting. The HHS helps to ensure accurate shooting from zero to 500 meters by utilizing the G33’s Quick Switch to Side magnifier mount. Operating buttons are located on the side of the EXPS making it easy to use in conjunction with other rail mounted accessories like the magnifier or night vision and thermal units.

“Our people at EOTech have always been very proud that U.S. and allied militaries as well as nearly every major law enforcement agency use the power of the Holographic Weapon Sight, said Ed Schoppman, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “What’s really exciting about the “Best of the Best” award is that it clearly demonstrates how hunters and shooters worldwide are now experiencing the unique performance advantages that the HWS brings to the field.”

The HHS II includes a non-night vision compatible sight with a 2 dot reticle for fast action targeting. The units come complete with quick detach bases that will return to zero after mounting (to the same rail location) to within 2 MOA. These kits run for an incredible 600 hours on one transversely mounted CR123 lithium battery.

About Best of The Best
Each year the editors at Field & Stream review new products and innovations and choose the top performing items for inclusion in the annual Best of The Best round-up. Field & Stream test-team members rigorously test each item during a process dubbed the “Field & Stream Torture Tests.” Products are shot, bent, driven, dropped, and generally abused. Anything that falters is immediately eliminated. Beyond surviving the torture tests, winning products are ultimately selected based on significance of the innovation, the quality of the design, and the value they bring to outdoorsmen. Selection criteria vary, depending upon the category, but all of the winning products share one characteristic: excellence in their field.
