Clam Outdoors Presents “The Quick Set” series of Screen Tents

Clam Corp LogoAdding four new models of screen tents, Clam Outdoors announces the creation of “The Quick-Set™” series of shelters with the “Traveler,” the “Escape” and the “Pavilion.” Known for 45-second rapid set up, the aptly titled Quick-Set™ series pops up with a sturdy hub-style design for use right out of the box. “What started as a single product as the 1660 Six-Pack screen shelter, now the Escape, is a full series with assorted sizes and color-schemes to meet a variety of occasional needs,” said Nick Chiodo, director of marketing for Clam. Continued improvements keep the shelters dry and bug-free for years of enjoyment.

Clam The Quick Set 1  A new, smaller four-sided version screen tent, at 72”x72” (6’x6’) with an 82” ceiling height, is the Traveler. Available in a two-tone brown/beige or green, the No-see-um mesh keeps even the smallest little bugs and mosquitoes away. The footprint is 36 total square feet allowing just enough room for a small card table and four chairs. The water-resistant, taped roof seam and wind panels (sold separately) work together to keep water on the outside and happy campers dry on the inside. At only 20 pounds, it travels light and easy in its carry bag with ample room for repacking. Four stakes and tie-downs secure in windy conditions. “This is a four-sided version of the popular six-sided Escape screen tent,” said Chiodo. “Some customers need the smaller footprint and this will be the perfect unit when sizing down is better.” MSRP is $199.99 for the Traveler in green and $219.99 in two-tone brown/beige.

On the other hand, sometimes it’s party time and the whole gang is around. That’s when the Pavilion, at 150”x150” (11.6’ across to flat wall and 12.7’ across corner to corner), is just the ticket providing a ginormous footprint of 110 total square feet. Made of the same strong 210-Denier polyoxford fabric and the same No-see-um mesh as the tried-and-true Escape, this larger hub-style screen Clam The Quick Set 2tent houses major fun with room for a full size picnic table and camp chairs and boasts a 94” center ceiling height. The water resistant taped-seam roof slopes down to adjustable, built-in, zippered weather panels (included). The panels are directly attached so any rain runs away from the screen, keeping everyone and everything inside drier. Deluxe tent stakes and tie down ropes secure the Pavilion in all weather conditions. The 41-pound tent folds into a generous carry bag making it easy to stow for camping or just off to a soccer game or peewee football with the extended family. MSRP on the Pavilion in two-tone brown/beige is $479.99.

The anchor of the Quick Set series of screen tents from Clam is the Escape, formerly the 1660 Six-Pack. The original footprint of 94 square feet with 90” center ceiling height is often the “just right” size and has been an incredible seller since its launch in 2013. All the features of the original design are standard: No-see-um screen mesh, 210-Denier polyoxford material, easy-packing storage bag and sturdy stakes with tie-down ropes. New this year, the six-sided tent is available in two colors with MSRP of $299.99 for green and $319.99 for the new option brown/beige. Wind and rain resistant panels protect the screens for the Escape and Traveler models and comes in a color-matched three-pack accessory for $29.99 MSRP.

Of course, the biggest feature common to all the SKUs is in the name: Quick Set. Each of the five screen tents in the series pops up right out of the box—no assembly required—and sets in 45 seconds or less.
