Boing and Bass Craft

Boing and Bass CraftThe winter months leave many anglers yearning for those long summer days. While its now mid January and the raccoon eyes and flip flop tan lines have faded. The days are short and the waters have traces of ice yet many anglers starting to gear up for the up coming season on the hot new “as seen on TV” trends. I have spent many hours looking at those unsung hero’s of the tackle industry. The guys in their garage, the people who invent and pour their heat and soul in to a bait or small company . Some you may have not even heard of yet and some you never will. Many of these companies are new and many wont make it through their first year in these struggling economic times. Never the less these companies and their owners spend countless hours crafting, shaping, and molding their dreams. With the social media at their side spreading the word via Facebook, Twitter, and Blogger pages have emerged into the public spot light and have boosted sales and triggered a whole new way of advertising in a cheaper yet effective way.

One of my favorite new companies that has set the tone for this “modern” advertising trend is Boing Lure’s. and owner Jason Yocum. Unless you have been living under a rock you have no doubt at some point heard of this new bait that is producing a high and low pitch frequency that comes in some of the most phenomenal paint schemes that you will ever see. Not only does it look good but this bait functions like a machine as it walks on the water and flat out catches fish.

Another top notch company that is following the same path as Boing Lures and emerging into the spotlight is Bass Craft Crankbaits and owner operator Michael Conrad. These balsa wood crankbaits are hand crafted and have no comparison to your grandfathers old antiques that he used to smash’em back when bass fishing was invented. These hand crafted baits have the action and body styles that fish just cant seem to help but punish for swimming by.

Boing and Bass Craft both share one characteristic though and that is that they both have the best paint schemes that the world has ever seen. Bait Werks Custom Lure Painting is currently painting lures for both companies and is setting the standard in matching the hatch. At the skilled hands of Dwain Batey these paint schemes have been put through some standard on the water R&D before they ever reach the general public to insure each color is just right.

So before you run out to the local tackle shop stop by your Facebook page and look up these guys that are truly masters of the tackle trade. Get to know these new companies that have new products that have yet to make the magazine must haves of 2013 or your favorite fishing show. Look deep, find your favorite new lure and you will with out a doubt find a lure on the market that no other angler has in their arsenal at first light. You may just find yourself with winning weights this spring. Piece by Bass Crazy.
