Beretta Expands Award-Winning A400 and SV10 Competition Shotgun Lines

Beretta’s dominance within the competition shotgun market continues with the launch of three innovative new shotguns. Based on award-winning designs, each of the new competition shotguns highlight the technological advances Beretta has built its reputation on. Both the A400 and SV10 shotgun lines share the following revolutionary features: the recoil dissipating Kick-Off® system which reduces felt recoil by 60%; a stock and fore-end enhanced with the X-tra Grain finish, the lightweight Micro-Core recoil pad and the very best cold-hammer forged barrels in the world featuring Optima Bore HP® geometry that delivers unparalleled ballistic performance. Whether a clay shooter prefers an over/under or a semi-automatic, Beretta’s newest competition shotguns fulfill their every need.

A400 Xcel Parallel Target

Two features differentiate the A400 Xcel Parallel Target from the A400 Xcel Sporting-a 2012 NRA Golden Bullseye Award winning shotgun-the parallel comb stock and the stepped rib. Available in both a standard length and a reduced length for smaller stature shooters, the parallel comb stock correctly positions a shooter’s head to maintain a proper sight picture regardless of cheek placement. Coupled with the ¼” stepped rib, the new Xcel Parallel Target becomes the all purpose sporting shotgun, appropriate for all genres of clay shooting from trap and skeet to sporting clays.

Competition shooters will appreciate the four features that define an A400 Xcel shotgun; the Blink® operating system that allows the shotgun to cycle 36% faster, the pioneering Gun Pod, a Balance Cap System and the receiver, both of which feature a unique finish exclusive to Beretta. Available as a standard feature and as an aftermarket addition, the Gun Pod delivers a digital readout of the ambient air temperature, the cartridge pressure of the round fired and the overall number of rounds fired through the shotgun; vital information the serious shooter cannot live without.

Three interchangeable weights comprise the Balance Cap System allowing shooters to customize their shotgun for the perfect swing. The 2 ½ ounce cap comes standard on the shotgun, with the optional 5 and 7 ½ ounce caps available from Beretta. An anodized finish on the balance cap protects the system from the elements allowing the shooter to compete anytime, anywhere.

Chambered for 2 ¾” and 3″ shells, the Xcel Parallel Target and Xcel Sporting perform time and again from the endless practice rounds to that final round, making them the perfect semi- automatic competition shotgun. The royal blue anodized finish featured on the receiver, as well as on the balance cap, announces to the world that you chose the Beretta Xcel. SV10 Prevail I Sporting & SV10 Prevail I Trap

Based off of the award winning SV10 Perennia line of field shotguns, the competition ready SV10 Prevail I’s new aesthetics and technical design are unmatched, and nowhere is that more evident than in the re-designed receiver. The reinforced hinge pins and deeper breech shoulders reinforce the lockup between the receiver and barrels while the trapezoidal shoulders improve the efficiency of the lock-up. Beautiful and sophisticated floral engravings decorate the Prevail I Sporting’s side plates, while swooped lines reminiscent of the top of a clay target adorn the side plates of the Prevail I Trap.

Beretta’s commitment to innovation continues with the Nano-Ceramic fore-end iron that reduces wear and corrosion, along with the adjustable ejection/extraction that allows the shooter to select between automatic ejection or mechanical extraction. Meticulously engineered features that continue to push the boundaries of over/unders coupled with long lasting, reliable performance make the SV10 Prevail I Sporting and Prevail I Trap the perfect blend of innovation and tradition.
