This year, the Benelli Performance Shop adds a trio of new custom-built models for three specific hunting purposes, providing hunters with the ultimate shotguns that combine Benelli’s performance with enhanced features and top-of-the-line accessories.
Benelli’s new Performance Shop Ultra Light Upland shotguns are available in 12 and 20 gauge and are the lightest semi-auto shotguns in production for their respective gauges. Both configurations feature featherweight alloy receivers, shortened magazine tubes and strong, lightweight carbon-fiber ribs dropping their overall weights to 6.1 pounds for the 12-gauge model and 5.2 pounds for the 20-gauge model. Easier to carry on the long walks common on quail, chukar and other upland hunts, the new shotguns are further enhanced with Performance Shop upgrades that include an enlarged bolt handle and bolt release, a lengthened forcing cone and EDM barrel porting, a Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish and three Rob Roberts Triple Threat extended chokes. The ever-popular Benelli M2 has served as a versatile platform for several Performance Shop models with two new configurations, the M2 Turkey Edition and M2 Waterfowl Edition, joining the lineup this year.
The new Benelli Performance Shop M2 Turkey Edition shotguns represent the ultimate turkey-hunting setup with Performance Shop enhancements by Rob Roberts, world renowned for shot-pattern development. Available in both 12- and 20-gauge configurations, each with 24-inch EDM Ported Crio barrels, M2 Turkey Edition shotguns come paired with a Burris FastFire II sight, which is pattern tested with Federal Premium Ammunition. Each shotgun comes with a computer printout to show actual points of impact in 10-, 20- and 30-inch circles. The 12-gauge model is equipped with a Patriot Brown Cerakote finish and comes with both a ComforTech field stock and SteadyGrip stock patterned in Mossy Oak Bottomlands. The 20-gauge version comes with a ComforTech field stock with stock, receiver and barrel finished in Realtree APG. Both models are equipped with a lengthened forcing cone, one custom XFT extended choke and five Benelli chokes (C, IC, M, IM, F).
