A month ago, Bass Rankings unveiled a two-year ranking for Regional anglers. Now it’s the College anglers’ turn. The new two-year College Ranking makes it so now every tournament level in Bass Rankings’ database has a two-year ranking. It also gives College anglers, some of the most avid anglers in the country, an even greater way of ranking against one another.
“The unique thing about the two-year ranking for the College level is that it will allow anglers to see how they rank over half of their careers,” Bass Rankings Editor Sean Ostruszka said. “Also, like when we launched the two-year Regional Ranking, the new College Ranking criteria will determine who the most consistent programs are not only in one season but over the course of time.”
Anglers will still be ranked as individuals, teammates and by their school, with the only changes to the Individual and Team rankings being the need for a minimum of eight tournaments in a two-year span. For the School Ranking, the one-year ranking now only needs four events instead of the previous five, with the two-year ranking needing eight events on the following tours/events: ACA, BASS, FLW and independent school opens, invitationals and qualifiers. .
Currently, the No. 1-ranked individual college angler in the two-year ranking is Jordan Lee from Auburn University with a score of 934.982. The No. 1-ranked team is Auburn’s Lee and Shane Powell with a 936.813. The No. 1-ranked school is Young Harris College with a 742.614.
