Connie Fuller, President of Snag Proof, was happy to announce that for the second week in a row they had a record turnout. Last week on the Delta they had 207 boats, which was followed up this week with another record setting 169 boats. This was the 9th Annual Snag Proof Open on Lake Guntersville. With this great turnout, we paid down to 34th place and three big fish. All participants could only fish with a Snag Proof frog, which makes the tournament very interesting and really levels the playing field for everyone.
Pictured is Connie Fuller presenting two checks’ to Mike Carter for total winnings of $11,500. Mike not only won the one-day, three fish limit tournament but also won big fish. Mike collected a 1st place check for $10,000 and added another $1,500 for his big fish weighing in at 8.4 lbs. Mike’s total weight was 18.36 lbs.
