Today’s fishing was mainly a Natural Forage Baits day, along with some help from Blitz Lures LLC and BFishn Tackle; but also caught a couple on a perch colored Rat-L-Trap.
I caught fish on a Blitz Spyder Jig with NFB Mad Craw, and NFB Lil Killer and Swim Bait rigged on a B-Fish-N Precision H20 jig head.
The Blitz Jig was used with a slow swimming action, the Swim Bait was a lift-fall-and-pause, and the Lil Killer was “finger jigging”.
The retrieve used for the Rat-L-Trap was fast enough to keep it above the weeds with an occasional tick of the tops.
Weeds were still heavy, and submerged, which made it tough when the bigger fish would hit. I lost the largest of the day on a Lil Killer when he buried deep into the weeds.
