A Little Gun Rap From Dan – Part 38 (Multi Post)

I received the Barska 3-9×40 scope and CCI Maxi-Mag ammunition, that was ordered from Sportsman’s Guide, for the new Rossi USA RB22M, bolt-action rifle.

My Henry Repeating Arms Frontier Long Barrel has the same model of Barska scope, which has done very well. I had to use Picatinny to 3/8 Dovetail adapters on the Henry, but the Rossi has the Picatinny mounts installed.

Since it is a bolt action I can remove the bolt to bore sight the rifle. I’ll see how it matches up with my LaserLyte bore sighter unit to compare the accuracy. Either way the idea is to get your POI as close to the middle on paper, and then fine tune it after firing about 3 rounds. This goes for powder or air, but is more difficult to do with air since there are very few sighting units that have 177 adapters.

I think I’ll keep the other “Rossi Twin” LR, without a scope as from what I’ve heard the fiber optic sights are fantastic. From what I can see so far, without firing it, I have to agree. We will see after its first shooting.

Until next time, shoot safe and have a great day of plinking.

Shooting at 10 meters with the Umarex USA, Inc. Colt M45 C02 BB pistol.

I filmed this video just for the fun of it. I had some C02 remaining in my Umarex USA, Inc. Colt M45 BB pistol, and decided to plink at a mess of empty plastic water bottles. Nothing earth shaking other than the fact that the BBs did not penetrate the bottles, or at least not the majority of them.

Gamo Outdoor USA‘s PT85 C02 pellet pistol is used this time around for shooting the Olympic 10 meter target. This is a good pistol for hitting the center at 5 to 7 yards, but drops a bit at the 10 meter line. Still it has a good grouping.

Yesterday I told you about the Sightmark R-Spec Reflex Sight. Today I used it on a American Tactical AT-97 pellet rifle. Another video will be filmed using the sight with a “powder burner”.
