A Letter From The Editor… “Trump / Pence” Why?

A Letter From The Editor - TrumpAs the last 16+ months unfolded many Americans expressed the views initially in a decent way. As more and more Presidential candidates dropped out, the word and messaging got stronger and stronger, and the civil disobedience got more vicious and violent. Why?

Eight years ago with the election of President Obama and sixteen years ago with George W. Bush I don’t recall property being destroyed, police being hurt and our citizens having so much pain thrown against them by fellow citizens.

Today we hear people calling supporters of Trump/Pence nazis, skin heads, racist, and more. From those who support the Trump/Pence team we hear snowflakes, socialist, candy asses, and more. Why?

I am personally sickened by how the countries communities have been divided year after year for the better part of four to eight years. I feel the last Presidency and administration has a lot to do with how this current administration has to start off. But, the blame is not all on them. The controlling party in the Senate, the House and some governors also need to take ownership of building this divide.

I don’t care if you were a Clinton, Trump or Bernie supporter. It matters not now. I didn’t care before the votes were counted as well. People had and have very strong beliefs, and that’s being American. But, it’s over. We have four year with the Trump/Pence team.

I listened to every single word President Trump said during his address to the Nation yesterday, and I am afraid many people didn’t. I’m afraid that they closed their ears to feel what was said, not just hear it.

Trump spoke to healing our country, joining our country, growing our country for ALL.

A fact that all political parties believe is that Washington DC is broken, was broken and has been braking for quite a while. I feel it’s been a long, long time that this body of leaders hasn’t had their eyes open to see what our country really needs.

Does President Trump sound different from other leaders? Absolutely!

I ask you all to remember that “Actions Speak Louder Than Words” and for our new President and Vice President, give them a chance!

No amount of crying, complaining, posting negative crap on Facebook will help anyone. Let’s all try being positive!

So what is the answer to Why? Because these two men need our support and calm silence to give them a chance to make some changes.

If we were to agree that the Trump/Pence administration needs to change nearly 30 years of laws, regulations, direction, and bureaucracy then they need time.

Lets give them a chance!

…. W. Schwarz
