In Cape Verde islands, in the middle of Atlantic Ocean angler Alexander Trukhachev caught an impressive huge female blue marlin of 1.222 lb – 553 kg. He was fishing on board 33′ Bertram Happy Hooker I with Capt. Simon Bracey trolling a Bonze Mongrel Dog lure on a 130 lb tackle. The fight time was more than 3 hours. Unfortunately the fish died and so was boated and weighted on the shore.
