To be this light, the Patriarch XT incorporates a rigid aluminum frame with carbon inlays in the body trim. Sideplates are infused with C45 carbon and the ergonomically shaped carbon-fiber handle is finished with an EVA knob sculpted over a carbon-fiber core. Durability and performance remain paramount to the Patriarch XT, with features not typically found on competitors reels, including the Cam-Lock side plate, which allows for quick break adjustments without fully detaching the side plate.
The Ultimate Brake System™ combines a centrifugal brake to control the first half of the cast and magnetic brakes that engage when the spool slows down during the last half of the cast. The carbon fiber drag system remains cool and smooth. The 10 double-shielded, stainless-steel bearings are shielded for optimum protection from contaminants like dirt and grit.
