NRA - ILA 100Sunday hunting with guns returns Oct. 4 in eastern NC counties – This weekend will be a little longer for eastern N.C. deer hunters who use certain firearms. Their time in the treestand is limited to Saturdays no more. Iowa Firearms Coalition to hold Permit to Carry Recertification event on October 10th – Five years ago, NRA-backed legislation changing Iowa from a “May-Issue” state to a “Shall-Issue” state was signed into law, significantly enhancing the right-to-carry for law-abiding Iowans.  That law contained a five year renewal requirement, which means that thousands of permits are currently up for renewal.

I’m delighted to report that the policy has just been changed. Here’s the memo that the Nassau County D.A.’s office just sent out, with a cover e-mail saying that this is “our office’s updated policy on handguns for attorneys, which is effective immediately”:
