West Virginia: Permitless Carry Passes House of Delegates
Today, House Bill 4145, NRA-endorsed legislation that would allow an individual to lawfully carry a concealed handgun without a permit, passed the House of Delegates with a bipartisan 68-31 vote.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said publicly for the first time that he is considering a 2016 presidential run. Bloomberg told the Financial Times for a story published Monday that he was “looking at all the options” regarding a bid.

ISIS supporter cites gun-free zone as reason for targeting church
The complaint filed in federal court doesn’t specify which Detroit church he was allegedly planning to attack, only that it was close and could seat 6,000 members.The complaint quotes Abu-Rayyan saying:“It’s easy, and a lot of people go there. Plus people are not allowed to carry guns in church. Plus it would make the news. Everybody would’ve heard. Honestly I regret not doing it. If I can’t do jihad in the Middle East, I would do my jihad over here.”

Another Cook County attack on gun rights
The Cook County Board has a proposed ordinance before it which will attempt to restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of all law-abiding citizens in Cook County. The ordinance calls for the “prohibitions on the sale of firearm to, and purchase of firearm by, a person not covered by appropriate liability insurance.”This means Cook County residents would not be able to purchase and own a firearm without first acquiring firearm liability insurance.
