New Solar-Powered LED Light

New Solar-Powered LED LightNow is the right time to switch to solar-powered, internal lighting. The LightShip from Davis Instruments enables users to deliver portable, solar-powered LED lighting to boats, RVs, cabins or homes at a low cost. It also serves as a safety light in case of fire or other emergency when the electricity goes out, automatically illuminating a room during a power outage.

LightShip can be attached to any clear-glass window. In a home, it’s great near any door, stairs, electric panel or in any bathroom or hallway. On a boat, LightShip can be attached to the inside of any hatch, window or porthole with good sun access for all-night lighting. It’s also perfect to keep campers, trailers or cabins well lit with no energy draw.

The LightShip installs easily with three powerful suction cups that face the solar cell to the sun for charging the NiMH battery. Three bright-white LEDs provide enough light for reading or users can switch to one, single red LED for better night vision capabilities.
A built-in light sensor switches the LightShip off automatically during daylight hours. It can also be switched off to store up energy for future use. Owners can attach one to a well-lit area during the day, then move it to wherever it’s needed at night.

Constructed from tough polycarbonate, the LightShip features a clear, molded lens and reflector to maximize LED intensity. For interior use only, it measures 2″ H x 5″ W and weighs only 8 oz.

The LightShip from Davis Instruments has a price of $24.99.
